Casandra Quinteros was born and lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the birthplace of tango. She fell in love with tango and started dancing at the age of 15 years old Although still young, she has vast experience both in teaching and performing, sharing her love and passion for tango. By the age of 18 she was already teaching tango at well-known academies in Buenos Aires. She has been teaching in the prestigious academia Mayoral y Elsa Maria for 9 years (under the tutelage of one of the most famous tango couples of all times, that among many accolades won the Tango Awards lifetime achievement award in 2019), she also has been teaching for 7 years at the famous milonga La Catedral (a reference for Buenos Aires milongas), and taught in the past at the school of Carlos Coppello. She has dance degrees from the National School of Dance and National School of Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and is now specializing in Coreography. She has taught workshops and participated in numerous tango shows in Buenos Aires (including TV performances, such as in the famous TV tango show “Aguante Tango” led by “Silvio Soldán”) and other parts of Argentina as well as in Mexico, China and USA. She performed at prestigious theaters and venues in Buenos Aires, such as Teatro Maipo, Teatro Coliseo, Feria Internacional del Libro, Teatro 25 de Mayo, Centro Cultural Carlos Gardel, Palacio Pizurno Ministerio de Educación, Teatro Broadway, Teatro Castelao, Centro Cultural Borges, Teatro de La Rivera, Teatro Constantino de la ciudad de Bragado, Legislatura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Teatro Armenia, Anfiteatro del Parque Centenario, Teatro Avenida and Embajada de México. She danced with prestigious tango companies in Buenos Aires, including Mayoral y Elsa María, Génesis Tango Company and Tango Nuevo Cabaret by Sergei Tumas. During the beginning of the course, Mr. Marcone will start with the introduction of the basic steps, connection techniques, and figures in Tango. As the course progresses he will teach you new skills, variations, and important techniques to increase your library of moves. You will be practicing from the very start with your classmates to amazing and seductive Tango music.
